We offer the National Vocational Qualifications of Jamaica at Levels 1-5. Certificates that indicate short course and seminar completion are also offered.
For entry-level programmes (levels 1 -3), applicants without any qualifications will be required to sit a Diagnostic Assessment. For some of our higher level programmes aplicants are required to have qualifications in certain areas.
The HEART Trust/NTA is a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) organization and uses a model called 'Competency Based Training'. This means that our training is mostly practical and involves trainees demonstrating skills acquired in real workplace scenarios.
While employment is not guaranteed, we do offer job placement services to interested persons. We provide an opportunity for you to connect with companies that are hiring, this however, is dependent on available positions.

Yes you may, providing the distance does not negatively affect your training schedule or ability to participate in the institution's initiatives.
Yes you do, all our trainees are required to complete at least 160 hours of industry-based work experience. This is important to ensure that you are well- rounded after training.
The contribution is to be made by Any employer with gross monthly emoluments exceeding $14,444.
Contributions are due by the 14th of each month for the month preceding. For example, the contribution for the month of June is due by July 14th.
Payment is made at the nearest Tax Office. Payments are NOT made at HEART Offices.
